I've been watching the Victoria Miniatures Kickstarter with great interest. I've always loved the classic Catachan rules, especially the trap and ambush stuff. But I've never been a fan of the models. What about Catachan rules with the 95th Rifles models... I hope they're released as physical kits.

It's that time again, the end of the month is always spent adding another Krieg squad to my company. This is the start of 9th Platoon.

I think this Imperial Guard wine waiter is my favourite model.

My Red Corsairs Boarding Actions force is complete. This project has sat around half finished for months, while I found the right bases, so yesterday I got on with it and got the whole lot rebased. These can tie in with my Red Corsairs BFG fleet for some one-off skirmish games and boarding missions.

Been doing a lot of building tonight, all characters and terrain for our Inquisimunda campaign. This is a market set, lots of hive scum converted to be unarmed citizens, traders, and various other characters. This should make a vibrant scene for our next encounter!

Finished my Uruk-Hai. These took a few days longer than planned but still good time, that's a big chunk out of my Pile of Potential and I'm really happy with the way they look, especially the bases (not very good at them normally) and the hand painted white hand markings.

Last night the Helenan security bureau sent a sweep into the slum districts looking for xenos activity. My Inquisimunda gang interrupted a deal between one of the gangs and a GSC, killed three or four scum who tried to run, and also found a trader selling curious artefacts of xenos origin.

"He saw as through a mist a wide flat circle, paved with mighty flags, and surrounded by a crumbling battlement: and in the middle, set upon four Carven pillars, was a high seat, reached by a stair of many steps."

Getting the whole lot of Uruk-Hai done was perhaps a bit ambitious, but most of the hard slog is done. Main thing is I had a lot of fun and learned that a goal is nice once in a while, enjoying the painting is its own reward. Bit of basing and tidying up and they'll be there.

This weekend's challenge is to paint 36 Uruk-Hai scouts plus characters before Sunday night. I just hope I've got enough Agrax Earthshade...
