Finished up The Trouble with Poetry & Other Poems by Billy Collins, for the poetry slot in the Booksweet challenge. Plain language, funny, & profound. (Also short.) Poetry is better when it doesn't rhyme? At least for me. How do you get chosen to be a poet laureate anyways? 💙📚

We listened to The Witch's Vacuum Cleaner & Other Stories by Terry Pratchett, performed by Julian Rhind-Tutt (complete with sound effects). Over a dozen short stories, written when Sir Terry was a junior reporter (age 17). He fixed 'em up a little bit, according to the introduction. 💙📚 📚🪐

I finished listening to Fearing the Black Body: The Racial Origins of Fat Phobia, written by Sabrina Strings & read by Allyson Johnson. This was my last category in the library's summer challenge - a body positive message. 🤷‍♀️ Definitely an academic book, & it made me want to throw things. 💙📚

Listened to The Science of Science Fiction: The Influence of Film & Fiction on the Science & Culture of Our Times by Mark Brake, read by Matt Godfrey. It fit the Booksweet challenge "26 letters in the title" (I didn't count the subtitle) & was fun on the way to doctor visits. 💙📚 📚🪐
