The Call for Papers for the 2027 EHS Conference is now open. The conference will take place at the University of Liverpool, 2 – 4 April 2027. The deadline for academic papers, sessions and new researcher papers is 14 September 2026. The deadline for new researcher posters is 16 November 2026.

New Award! Nomination Deadline 30 September 2026. The EHS awards a prize of £1,000, on a biennial basis, for an outstanding book in Economic and/or Social History. The winner of the Outstanding Book Prize will be announced at the annual conference. #EHS100

The EHS is part of the partnership supporting the BME Events and Activities Small Grants Scheme. The joint scheme provides small grants to support activities and events run by BME historians working in the UK OR to support events and activities exploring histories of BME people.

Student membership in the EHS including subscription to the Economic History Review is open to full and part time students, including postgraduates at higher education institutions in the UK and other EC countries.
