This is so true. I‘ve known people who exemplify this dynamic. There would be a lot less resentment, paranoia, insecurity, anger, and violence if there were more orgasms (and more crying, too, especially among men).

I have actively passed on shows that looked like they were just going to be stress machines. My life sucks. I don’t need more stress. It’s not entertainment anymore at some point.

It also utterly destroyed my Apple Watch by adding horrible latency.

Smart. I made the mistake of hoping it would fix the intolerable text selection, editing, and replacement/keyboard behaviors. It made them worse.

This made me think of the disaster that is Apple’s text editing & keyboard/text replacement behaviors in iOS.

So… customers will pay, as expected. That’s still kind of socializing the losses.

I have been screaming for this for decades. There is SO MUCH special pleading & lobbying involved in propping up the tech industry, in spite of its continuous should-be-obvious failures that society did not tolerate elsewhere until everything else also had a computer crammed into it.

This is MANY tech executives, including some of the ones people still try to like and consider “actually smart”, because having heroes is corrupting to rationality & critical thinking.

This is why I was leaving room for it to not be an analogy
