There is a consistent problem with MLB ABS when a catcher wants to challenge a Ball 4 call. The catcher’s back is to the ump, who can indicate a ball by saying Nothing rather than Something. So it takes the catcher a moment to know he has to challenge, and by then the ump says it’s too late.
