CALfire doesn't play. That's not an insult or compliment, but an assessment of their approach. They lock on to the assigned objective and blast clean through it, with little concern for how people feel about it. Good for putting down a fire, bad for the gentler aspects of how that impacts community

Nobody reads what I write anyways so: next weekend we're supposed to attend a kids birthday with daycare folks. That family just lost everything in Spokane fires. They want to keep the party for the kids. I'm going to be crying and consoling other parents in the corner at a 4 y/o's party.
