The crystal paste step is the WORST

I’m a fake FF fan so I didn’t even know they were leaning into Cecil’s arc. That would explain a LOT though. X.0 stories tend to be pretty solid in their themes and theses so hopefully they hold onto the reigns in 8.X.

Belaboring the point a bit but after an entire expac that said in no uncertain terms light =/= good, having Zero’s story say light IS explicitly good actually and my dark-tinged birth is a flaw, I was left with a bad taste in my mouth. But hey, they came back around to their initial argument.

AND that change is inevitable and we cannot go back without destroying the potential of our flawed present, too. It just seemed like such a step backwards in their arguments established in ShB specifically. So when Zero jumped back into her RPR form in 7.5, accepting both aspects, I was SO hyped.

Exactly. I love moment-to-moment RP but when writing five minutes takes weeks, there's gotta be some compromises made in order for anything to happen to them.

If the new 8.0 DPS class IS a falconer or something like it, we're gonna have so much rework to do, fuuuuck.

YOU'RE SO RIGHT

This is mainly because, since 2019, me and @/wintrywanderer have been on and off working on lore for our own xaela tribe that raises the birds and makes them central to their lives. One of these days we'll finish and share it lmao.

I like the idea of keeping up with it, but the problem is more a practical one. I can't RP enough in a year to justify aging her when I can't accomplish everything I want to in a time frame that makes sense. 😂

But this also means it will be year nine of Sif. What the hell.
