I was lucky enough to work in a lab with Dr Iain Holmes, one of the discoverers of Rotavirus (via Electron Microscopy), another infant diarrhoeal pathogen, to do my Honours project. We now have a vaccine for it. But E. coli has many nasty variants that still kill. Pro tip: No RAW MILK

Unsurprising, given it’s probably staff & visitors who are vectors of disease. Close personal care from staff and snotty (great) grand kid cuddles. UTIs a huge driver of Abx use in this cohort.
