Federal agents continue to arrest people at or near Chicagoland courts. Rapid responders report that earlier today, ICE took one person near the Kankakee County, IL courthouse. Photos & video shared online corroborate, showing agents placing a man into a Ford (with no front plate) near the court.

Two weeks ago, the same march was held, with the body count at 118. As of July 20th, it’s 276. This number comes from independent documenter Christian Kunz on Facebook and Substack.
Zoë TakakiChicagoans came to the Broadview ICE facility to hold a funeral procession for the 118 people who have died at the hands of federal immigration enforcement since 2018. This comes after 52-year-old father Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was fatally shot by ICE agents on Tuesday morning.
Per the police shooting in Madison, WI today, this bears repeating: ICE, CBP, local cops; their violence is all connected. ICE represents an escalation of that violence to be sure. But we wouldn't be here here without years and years of collectively tolerating "regular" cops killing people.

Happening now in Chicago: community members and activists are in the La Villita/Little Village neighborhood to demonstrate against continued ICE violence in across the country. In just the last two weeks, ICE agents have killed 2 men. A 3rd died running from agents, and a 4th died in ICE custody.
