If nuclear power has a problem, it's that it's too good: an individual nuclear plant produces so much power it's difficult to justify building large numbers of them, which in turn makes it difficult to justify building standardized manufacturing infra, which raises costs.

Let's look at countries that haven't gone out of their way to kill nuclear power due to oil & gas interests, shall we?

Nuclear power has killed less people per kilowatt than literally any other source of power. Yes, that includes solar and wind. You know what conditions rare earths for solar are mined in? You know how dangerous working on wind turbines is?

Actually, what Fukushima proves is that nuclear power is so safe that it took a record-breaking earthquake followed by a record-breaking tsunami just to break an aging reactor that was already past its intended shut down date. And no one even died.
