Why is no one stopping this? No one wants to upset the UAE. Business with the Emirates is more important than African lives to much of the world.

“Internally, Sky executives have become increasingly concerned about the editorial position Sky News Arabia has taken on news in the region. Coverage of the atrocities carried out in Sudan by the UAE-backed paramilitary group, Rapid Support Forces (RSF), has been accused of whitewashing genocide.”
The UAE is the biggest financial back of the RSF in Sudan. Though less reported on, it is the largest humanitarian disaster and genocide on Earth right now.
PierceSudan took UAE to the ICJ last year for complicity in genocide. I’d probably want to hide having a house there too if I were running for office. Aside from the Bangalore condo.

🧵🚨👀 If you still think DSA Folks are our friends…it’s probably time to start paying attention. They are not, never have been, and never will be any friend to the Democratic Party. Periodt.
Christopher WebbEVERY DEMOCRAT NEEDS TO SEE THIS. DSA co-chair Megan Romer laid out the organization’s platform. Now I’ve got to ask: will they be held accountable when they can’t get these policies enacted, just like Democrats in general? 🧵

This is an opp and nothing but that. This platform is a fairytale. Its clear the DSA has no idea how our form of government works. The only conclusion I can draw is they are chaos agents only here to disrupt. These goals aren’t well thought out at all.

As the late great George Orwell noted working class individuals generally *loathed* socialists.
Dean Haddix“It has been a pretty big lie people [have] told themselves on here that working class people are closet leftists,” Neera Tanden, the president of Center for American Progress, posted on X. “They are in fact much more moderate than college educated folks.”

American politics is just gender, education polarization, and the rural/urban split (which itself is probably just gender and education polarization) in a trench coat and no amount of Marxist posturing about standing up for the working man against the capitalists will unmake that

This article asks the question that cuts to the heart of "leftist"/communist ideology: "If the left is the working-people faction of the party but working people don’t vote for its candidates, then what really are they?"
