When I was at uni I watched The Core with a bunch of my engineering mates and hoooooo boy did they have Feelings and Comments about that film. It was more entertaining seeing and hearing their reactions than the movie itself.

1000%, he’s creating a fantasy city that’s white/male/straight/fixed in a specific era (all he’s missing is the Oasis haircut) and Manchester just… isn’t that. At all. Presenting it that way is such disrespect to the people who actually live there and the place it is. Makes me tiiiiired.
