But well, we live in a capitalist era so at least dreaming is free. I really enjoyed the different feel of this event (compared to the ones I was getting used to). I enjoyed the company of artists with different themes. And I was surprised that my original art sold and that I made my table back 😬

You could feel that the organizers have a tight community, they're so respectful and supportive. The Vista Mall is deserted but there were 2-3 little markets and it felt like a warm cocoon of passionate creators. I was daydreaming of this mall being used for artist pop ups and things like that 🥲

Ohh that's right! That one was big! So far I've just seen an author that's not letting herself to be pushed down and "stay in her place" when we see many female representing mangakas usually not talking back. I love how she's including strong representation and removing the pink filter from issues

At some point it just gets hilarious 😅 I'm waiting for the day where I see suggested news in social media with "Kei Urana's favorite food is not yours!" or "Gachiakuta's creator has responded to another critique with something other than 'I apologize that you don't like it, I should do what you say"

ETA: I've read some of the news about Kei Urana, bc of course one has to be aware of people we support! All I've seen so far goes like " Soul Eater creator picks Kei Urana as successor!" "Kei Urana asks fans not to make mock-ups of manga cover with OC's" and latest: "Kei Urana praises WHA creator!"

manga creators" (who usually are very tame and less public/loud), is a big freaking 'scandal' I'm now trying to collect the manga, because I love the creator's style to study from it. To be really objective, unless we lived with one of those "fans", we can just close the tab and be in peace 🥲
