Just found out that Troy got a directors cut that adds 45 mins and the film nerds seem to think its an improvement. Not on DVD here, seems to be in the USA but looking at the film length it looks like the theatrical cut mislabeled. Gah.

Greatly enjoyed Spider-Man: Setting up so many plot elements for future films.

Thinking about it, Christopher Nolan totally woulda put Michael Caine in as Odysseus's father Laertes into the Odyssey if he wasn't stuck to a 3hr time limit. Laertes was even alive in the poem, just kinda hanging out being sad.
