yes the jonah hill interview is immensely dunkable but when people go through an intense experience that changes how they view themselves, it takes a while to absorb and assimilate it. until then, it becomes a dominating, all-encompassing force. given the immense fatphobia he must have internalized

wilson's review, while arguably similar in style, is nothing like the apparently normalized ruthlessness in academic peer review, due to the simple fact that nolan's making the movie or its success did not, at all, hinge on her evaluation. so many people being so weird about this is bizarre to me.
