This is something I teach students, family members, etc. "Does this reasoning even hold up?" "Does that make sense?" Asking these questions is a different, more complete way of thinking. As I learned as a journalist: If your mother says she loves you, check it out. Read the whole thread.
Digital Warrior - Combat Disinfo5/ Here’s the fix, and it’s two moves. One, narrative monitoring: track the whole story as it shifts, not just one claim. Two, argument checking. Instead of asking ‘is this true,’ you ask ‘does this reasoning even hold up?’ Go after the logic, not just the facts.
