It took me years to fully appreciate Skylarking, the LP that most audiophiles believe is XTC's absolute masterpiece. Now I can say it's great. And I believe that the re-released 2016 and 2024 versions supervised by Steven Wilson sound even better than the original one, produced by Todd Rundgren.
