I feel like that was the point. Control the momentums and push agenda

For my 10s of (fiction) readers: It will be titled “Ghost in the Machine.”
Danny Cherry Jr (twitter/Insta/tiktok: @Deecherrywriter)Nope it's a novella about grief and addiction that follows a 20-something who uses augmented reality tech to live the life he always wanted with his dead fiancé and becomes addicted to living in this fake world, set in a future version of NOLA where Big Tech has taken over. Think Black Mirror.
I have no more speaking engagements planned this year if anyone looking for someone to talk about creative writing (fiction mainly) or Christo-fascists👀
Danny Cherry Jr (twitter/Insta/tiktok: @Deecherrywriter)I'll be speaking before the congregation of @firstuuneworleans.bsky.social tomorrow, talking about joy as resistance during the rise of Christian Nationalism!
Same here. I like that I can talk about my varying interests (politics, short fiction, journalism, whatever) and not get stuck in a pigeonhole that I can’t get out of.
Millions of Dead Chrisbesides the fact that I have found friends on bluesky, the lack of algorithm is the pretty attraction of this place for me
But the fucked up part is that replicating a formula for the sake of the algorithmic god’s absolutely works. Homogeny is rewarded, and people eat the shit up, then an artist or establishment replicates that formula again, and so on, until there’s just no more individuality.
Danny Cherry Jr (twitter/Insta/tiktok: @Deecherrywriter)But really though algorithms are why some, for example, coffee shops all got the same aesthetic. Because certain looks go viral on IG, then other coffee shops see that and think that’s how they can go viral, then so on and so on until all individuality is gone. Same shit happens to us.
