it's a prequel based on seteth imo, his hair is blonde bc in the past he went into hiding and dyed his hair, flayn not being there as far as we know might be due to the fact seteth kept her hidden for literal years to keep her safe / she was in a dormant state for years healing

I mean they've always been on the front cover of the game so they were always going to be some sort of mc, but them waving away the other 4 mcs and saying "you dear viewer are the true protagonist" is just so boring...
