This week sex workers went to the French Senate to present a proposed bill to decriminalise sex work, developed by sex workers themselves. France has now had the disastrous Nordic model (client criminalisation) for 10 years. The fight for decrim goes on! 💪
This is a really important article by Frances which is also really relevant to sex workers in the UK - our autumn 2025 report found that a shocking 77% of the 172 sex workers we surveyed considered themselves to be disabled or long-term/chronically ill. decrimnow.org.uk/wp-content/u... (1/x)

Next Monday 30th March, 2-3.30pm, we’ll be hosting an online event to discuss the findings of our autumn 2025 research report on why people go into sex work and remain in it, and what they’d like the government to do to support them. Sign up here to join us! www.eventbrite.com/e/decrim-now...
A client has been charged with rape in Belgium for not paying a sex worker - this is the first time this has happened in Belgium. Belgium fully decriminalised sex work in 2022/23 and since then has set about instituting much better protections for sex workers, including sick leave and maternity pay.

You may have seen some reporting recently on this attack van driven around Gorton and Denton during the recent by-election…! Green Party policy is to support the full decriminalisation of sex work, which is the best model to protect sex workers’ safety, health and human rights.
The NationalThis is the van that has been seen outside a polling station in the Gorton and Denton by-election, prompting the Greens to report Labour to the police for allegedly breaching electoral law. The National has not yet been able to confirm who has paid for the van. Pictures: Ujan Natik
Congratulations to our incredible colleagues in Scotland for Decrim for this hard-fought victory. Sex workers in Scotland demanded to be heard, and (some) politicians listened. Particular thanks to our stalwart champion @maggiechapman.bsky.social for her support!
