Nature posts, especially ones of beautiful creatures most of us will never see as their habitats are secluded, and stories of pets with their people are my comfort content. There are NO bad breeds, no bad mutts. All dogs are good dogs if given the chance to be happy, helpful and loyal friends.

All dogs are good dogs. Breed doesn’t matter. It’s the humans that need some work. #NationalMuttDay

CBC with not-so-subtle justification propaganda for the LPC rollbacks on food safety. Geographic proximity to the US means there's a giant whirlpool of lax regulation next door sucking away all attempts at EU style standards. Processing in the US is cheap b/c sketchy. www.cbc.ca/news/politic...

There's an uptick in a counter-productive behaviour that repeatedly manifests in left-leaning circles - equating a disappointing or bad thing to a catastrophic thing. Carney criticism now attracts "Trudeau was the same!" comments. Outside manipulation or coming from inside the house? 1/4

Well, at least they're postponing one of the worst ideas ever. I guess cancelling the ability to edit Google Earth images to include any damn thing you want thanks to AI is holding back the progress of humanity or something. www.digitaldigging.org/p/nano-banan...

I know few people care - most of Canada is either terrified to criticize our government or are oblivious to politics - but I want to know why we have money for pipelines, F-35s and Saudi trade deals but not the arts and elite sports. Carney cancelled a major funding source for CAN tv & film. 1/2

Charlie, attacking random folks this way is a bad look. Debate them honestly or ignore. I'm saying this as one who gets confrontational with my political allies when warranted. Supporting Carney's defense contracts with US MIC suppliers and their Canadian subsidiaries is not the hill to die on.

Charlie Angus

Whenever they pull out the reactionary running dog language you know where the "debate" is going. I will file this one under Lol.

Yeah, folks without connections to the industry hit by this choice have no idea how much damage it will do. If Carney stood at a podium set up in a random factory somewhere in Alberta and ripped off a mask, revealing himself to be Harper or, fuck it, zombie Reagan, it would feel totally normal.

Mark Carney is quickly taking his place amongst the worst Prime Ministers in Canadian history. Thanks for putting a knife squarely in the back of my entire industry, @mark-carney.bsky.social. 90,000+ film and tv workers in BC will remember this next election. www.thewirereport.ca/2026/07/28/b...

Carney stans are operating in the same fear-motivated pack manner as maga. I partly blame influencer culture in political commentary and US-based independent political voices wading uninformed into Canadian politics, using Carney as their antiTrump, helped by fearmongering CA allies of said folks.

Michael Nabert

Whenever I say that I don't want Mark Carney to harm the environment or attack human rights or kowtow to tech billionaires, a whole bunch of his supporters show up to 1. insult me, 2. accuse me of being a conservative supporter, and 3. nothing else. There is no third thing. 1/

Read the entire thread. Canadians need to understand what Carney is doing and what motivates him. At best, his business world tactic of meeting in the middle is dangerous. At worst, he's working in tandem with the same think tanks behind Trump and the Republican rightwing.

Michael Nabert

"Because Trump" or the more euphemistic "because the world has changed" is the favourite thought-terminating cliché of Carney supporters. Offer any evidence-based criticism of any Carney policy & you will hear that these unusually dangerous times require it. But he's making us *more* vulnerable. 🧵1/

Need to clarify something I said earlier: Word limits makes it hard to convey nuanced topics where a sound bite quip doesn't contain necessary info, so I have to get wordy. The right has noticed a progressive and leftist shift away from Carney and want to take advantage of this. They see us. 1/4

Head's up, Bluesky Canadians, Conservative Party types and rightwingers are infiltrating left-leaning online spaces, acting like allies. Be suspicious of accounts calling him "Carnage"; that is directly from the right. (I know this b/c I engage on rightwing spaces to keep an eye on them).

What are we doing here, Charlie? I want to support Canadian political commentary, so I try to be generous as long as I can, but this, combined with the MTN partnership, is a line crossed. You know Carney is buying from US suppliers and passing off Canadian subsidiaries as Canadian.

Charlie Angus

Canada is in a deadly serious moment unlike anything we have seen in a century. We need political leaders to offer a vision of how respond to the threat while offering ways that our nation can move forward. Claiming that the PM's priority is supporting Trump's war machine is a total falsehood.

Carney - "... complete a new Alberta-Canada agreement through Build Canada Homes, which is a new fund, to scale up affordable homebuilding." Why are we treating Alberta as a separate country? Every province and territory should announce separation referendums since only threats get responses.

85% of copper theft in Canada is from Ontario and NB, with NB seeing a 235% increase in thefts from 2025. NB's huge upswing in not just this but break and enter, human trafficking and violent assault happened so fast and the only solution offered is a tough-on-crime crackdown. 1/3
