BTW... between 1960 - 1990 Canada paid between 2% - 4.2% GDP annually into NATO (before recommended baselines were even established) & only dropped below 2% after the Berlin Wall fell and the USSR was in a state of collapse. Funny how those facts also get ignored.

The 2014 Wales Summit was when it became an official baseline policy going forward and gave NATO members not spending 2% of GDP at that time (which was most nations) a decade in which to work towards achieving such. The 2023 Vilnius Summit reconfirmed that goal. All have now met that goal..

The US doesn't want a fair trade deal, they want Canada to completely capitulate to extortionist demands in an attempt to turn it into a vassal state of the US versus being an independent & equal trade partner to them. They pulled that crap with dozens of countries around the world for decades.

I agree with many of his policy positions but not all. I also agree with a number of NDP positions as too the Green Party. The Cons have also had some some policy positions I agreed with but the last few years, I'm disgusted by how they've adopted US style political rhetoric, propaganda & policies.
