It's insane to me that someone would continue to say "i'll refund you / I'll do art for you" and then when gently prompted about it months later they just up and abandon an entire gallery rather than talk about it. At this point, just tell me "my $ no takebacks," I'd respect that more, you know?

I want to pay people to make beautiful things. But it sucks to be treated like a mark.

I've had a lot of bad experiences trying to get art. I don't expect total professionalism because I understand, having done writing comms, how HARD it is, and how difficult some clients can be. But I'm really tired of my patience being abused and it's soured a lot of the experience for me.

And now this artist is NOT POSTING on FurAffinity to duck me while continuing to post on EVERY OTHER PLATFORM to hide from any accountability. It's so frustrating.

You want to be in solidarity with your fellow creatives. I do too. But I paid for this. I have been nothing but patient. I have all the logs and message records.

I cannot express how much this has soured me on commissioning and how it has amplified every negative experience since. And how people DEFENDING this kind of behavior (life happens, life is haaard, etcetera) has made me wary of artists in general.
