Can you visually map your Bsky network? I'm curious which cluster communities I’ve ended up in (“politics” obvi, but want a deeper dive). I started this account to vent/commiserate, but also it’s my own personal experiment to understand social media better since the terminally online run politics 🤷♀️

btw this works with all assholes and abusers: Watch what they do, not what they say is the only way to cut through the noise and bullshit they purposely create to confuse and gaslight you.
@NewsJennifer (Jennifer Schulze)NEW from me: I think this is the perfect time to use Rachel Maddow’s oft-repeated phrase - ‘watch what they do- not what they say.’ Ignore Ellison's PR pitch, but look at what's happening at CBS News including directing reporters to add “facts” that did not exist. open.substack.com/pub/jennifer...
My fellow countryman, this is your nation’s capital on Trump.
Ricky DavilaThis is a new view of the bulldozed White House complex. The criminal monstrosity subhuman filth won’t stop until he destroys everything, makes me sick to my stomach.
Whew! My one-woman prediction market remains undefeated.
The New York TimesBreaking News: The progressive Abdul El-Sayed narrowly won Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary, a victory for the left in a crucial state.
Clearly we are doing it wrong. One thing is that outside pollsters are never going to get a lot of people's real opinions in this day and age of mistrust. If pollsters found local community folks to do door to door, they would get real results imho. Or at least better ones. Just a thought.
Adam SerwerThere’s no actual alternative to polling but I just don’t believe they capture public sentiment in any reliable way anymore
Ditto. And the struggle is real.

There it is
Jess PiperThe Heritage Foundation asserts that women never needed sports in the first place. To prove that Title IX has become a tool of “feminist social engineering.” To demonstrate that women don’t need sports and that “clubs, intramurals, and exercise classes” is enough. open.substack.com/pub/jesspipe...
I read that as Joni Mitchell at first because it’s 1am and that, my friends, means it’s time to pack it in for the night.
Allison GillIf you thought John Mitchell or Bill Barr were bad… just you wait.
To me, this is one of the wildest thing to me out of all of the wild things happening in our circus of a govt. The white nationalism/misogyny/transphobia/ICE kidnappings/fascism was all expected. But even I lacked the foresight to include “deplete military stockpiles” on my Trump 2.0 bingo card.
rich traditionscouple months ago: let's show these assholes why americans are drowning in medical and other personal debt now: wait what we don't even have the weaponry now either
Marital rape wasn’t illegal and date rape got featured as both deserved AND romantic in teen films like 16 candles and Revenge of the Nerds. The backlash to 70s second wave feminism continues, but mini-gender justice resistance movts (Riot Grrrl, trans rights, #MeToo) have had an impact.
ConstantineFood, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.
Absolutely agree. Enthusiasm is on the side of progressives, not the establishment. Republicans would have a better chance of beating Stevens for 2 reasons: Al-Sayed is a better campaigner AND her stance on Israel would depress Dem turnout significantly, esp among Arab-Americans + youth voters.
Resign, Carney. ⚜️Rachel Maddow just said that Abdul and Stevens have an equal chance in November. I disagree, I think Socialist/Mamdani-fever will be hotter. People want change.
Some men are rapists and some men are heroes, decide who you want to be.
NBC4 WashingtonA man leaving an early morning showing of the new Spider-Man movie at the AMC Georgetown sprang into action to help a woman yelling for help from the bushes in the nearby waterfront park.
This is one of those things I’m really glad I was young and alive for.
