Twitter is such a hellscape that calling it a cesspit is too much of a compliment. And just unfair on cesspits really. At least they have an actual function

Can't wait to see it

Never seen that. I might have to check it out

I've never read it but The Penelopiad is one I'm always recommended and I've read parts of Natalie Haynes A Thousand Ships which is a really interesting retelling cause each chapter is from a different perspective. The bits I've read I've really enjoyed

I would recommend it to every writer as a sort of literary heritage. It may not be the best Greek epic but it is the most influential and it gives you an insight into the origins of a lot of tropes that permeate Western storytelling. There are also a lot of brilliant retellings you might enjoy more.

I can't wait to see it. The Classics nerd in me is both excited and terrified of disappointment if it's a bad adaptation

Happy birthday to one of my favourite artists

I did two months of five/six days of ten to twelve hour shifts at my day job and it taught me I need balance cause I had no time to create. Now even though I'm still 'working' five days a week, two or three are now writing days. Also I'm very lucky I'm a night owl so I can do 1pm to 1am 'shifts'

Thank you so much. Also @6knifes.bsky.social art is beautiful. I'd recommend everyone checks it out.
