I never even made minimum wage for the work I did producing people's product. It was practically a public service for the underground scene.
Anyway, that bellend went down in flames pretty quickly, so there's some karma at least.
Then there's the client who ignored the lead times, and his CDs arrived a day late for his gig, and he refused to pay despite taking the consignment and blamed everyone else, when his masters hadn't even been mastered. 🤬
Anyway, that was the end of the line for my pressing agent gig.

Nah, but at the time...
20 odd years ago lead times were still only a couple of weeks, could do faster if you new the manufacturers and had good relations.
I used to be a CD pressing agent for a while, and we pressed quite a few shirt runs of vinyl at NewBias too.
I just saw a post complaining about healthcare coverage in Georgia and the efforts of Republicans to make the situation worse, and was SO tempted to launch into a diatribe about protests in Tblisi...
Tho considering two of them featured ladies and gents toilet door symbols in bitumen, maybe we missed a trick?
Very influenced by auto-destructive art a la Golding and Denney.
A friend of mine got called "the worst person" at a thing we do a couple of times a year. It was an odd thing.
Anyway, a mutual friend got him a "The Worst Person" sash to proudly wear at the next one, and it was quite glorious.
