The adventure I have been working on for ages is complete and ready for editting! It is a massive relief to have it off my desk, and to be able to work on other things for a bit.

The addition of the lock, chain and additional modern padlock here are strong indicators of human intervention.

The gate is a human addition to keep the fey in and foolish humans out.

Another close relative is the entry to a horrible liminal spaces, however those tend to be situated inside a [blue]house[/blue] or in an abandoned shopping malls. Such portals often lack the explicit warning signs, relying on their overwhelming strangeness and sense of unease to keep people out.

If it were the hell variant, it would usually be at the end of a dark corridor, or inside a religious building and likely located behind false wall.

RPG designer here. This is a common mistake, and one often made by architects and related fields. While your very close, it is in fact a portal to fairie, not hell. You can tell by the fence and the location.

No doubt a stupid noob question: When laying out a book for printing as hardback, do you need to keep four pages(two sides at either end) free to be glued under the end papers?

It is good casting of Elliot, he still looks pretty boyish, but like...a worn boyish, but he also has the acting chops for a pivotal role. I wish I'd know about the location issues ahead if seeing it...

As for the death of Elliott character...he does die almost immediately, but he is also in the film later in pivotal scenes. His character represents the death of innocence in war.
