Instead of answering the question, she should have asked the "reporter" to define Communism and socialism. You will find that many people don't know what those words mean and are indeed repeating talking points based in bigotry and fear.

This is how it should be. There's mostly been sane/rational candidates across the country vying for these positions in past elections around the country. The problem is low voter turnout, especially in primaries, so good candidates don't get elected!
