Forgot to post one more from my new purchase weekend. #NowSpinning Nick Cave and the bad Seeds - From Her to Eternity As my post 1990 collection of Cave albums is almost complete, I'm stretching into the '80s. Not my favourite era but has a lot of merit. More art-punk at this stage. #Vinyl

So #5DebutAlbumsSF3 is going to be super tricky. Not only because there are six of my era winners, and three 2nds, in it, but also as I have 10 days away in the middle of it. So I'm going for a condensed 25 albums this time. FA Cup style knockout, where bigger albums join in later rounds.

New purchase weekend continues with an all timer. Van Morrison - Astral Weeks He may have rather tarnished his personal legacy in recent years, but this remains in the A1 tier of greatest albums of all time. Gorgeous from note one to the very end. #Vinyl #VinylCommunity #NowSpinning

Next up in my new purchase weekend: Smashing Pumpkins - Gish A good debut from a band that would go on to achieve higher heights. That's most of the early Pumpkins albums upgraded from CD to vinyl. Now if only they'd release a reasonably priced pressing of Mellon Collie... #Vinyl #NowSpinning
