Yea, curious to see how they approach. The Dark Phoenix saga in the comics is one of my favorites, as well as the Claremont run from ‘75 until late 80’s and they’ve never done much of that well in live action. I think they’ll ignore the past films and do what works best in context of the MCU.

For me, it’s just DOFP and Logan, could have done without the rest. The inclusion of Emma doesn’t matter, she first appeared in the 80’s and her role can evolve. The directors mention of the Claremont run and Feige’s admiration for that period gives me hope.

I honestly think most of it hasn’t been done well. For them to jump right to the 90’s would be painful, just don’t connect with the characters at that time.

I don’t think it’s complete, definitely some I expect to see not shown.

Unless they adapt multiple storylines per movie, it’s going to take ages to get to so many of these in live action. 7 years? 10 years? Will it even go that long in the MCU?

…I find the criticism the MCU gets at the moment hard to swallow with how good I thought Thunderbolts and FF: First Steps were. With Spidey and the Avengers movies coming, things are looking way up. Anyway… ✌️
