Let’s be clear. This is an extremely bizarre thing for an American mayor to be doing. But it’s beyond that. How much time does he spend railing against the Ayatollah or Putin? Or the leaders of Hamas?

“You did not bear the shame. You resisted. You bestowed the eternally vigilant signal to turn back by sacrificing your impassioned lives for freedom, justice and honour.”

It’s easy to feel a sense of despair and hopelessness about our nation these days. But look at these judges marching carrying roses, standing up for the rule of law. It’s hard not to feel inspired and hopeful. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Look as long as he’s reminding people about the 2020 election, I think the perfect pivot is to talk about January 6. Unlike his conspiracy theory nonsense, we all saw that happen in front of our eyes.

A high-T president would have taken action tonight. Not just talked. So low-T.

Worth reminding folks that he sicced a mobbed on the Capitol to overturn our system of government. Yet he’s accusing other people of rigging elections.

This speech is so low T.

It’s worth saying this every now and again and particularly before moments like tonight. Anyone of our fellow citizens can stop supporting Trump at any time. Any administration official can resign at any time. There’s always a way back. Redemption is always on the table.

Really sad about Sam Neill. He was extraordinary in Jurassic Park, bringing dinosaurs to life for a generation. In Hunt for Red October, his quote about raising rabbits & moving “state to state” perfectly encapsulates the America I love & that is under threat. Rest In Peace Sam.
