Honestly, great use of negative space and the composition as fantastic. Really draws the eye to the face which I get was probably the idea.

Apparently the mothers of dogs and cats carry their young by the scruff for the first few weeks of their lives. Then people saw that, thought “Oh, so it’s fine then” without looking into the additional context and imitated it. Some people are also just jackasses though so eh.

Man I feel that. Thankfully I made this guy when I just started learning how fucked up corporations can be so the core of "Man is alienated from others because of his position in the capitalist machine but still tries to help regardless, much to his mental degradation. And also spirits" still works.

And what hurts him the most about his day job is the fact that he actually cares about his fellow employees and has to work three times as hard to make things work out for them without getting sacked himself. But hey, risking your life dealing with spirits always gets the dopamine rushing.
