I went to a conference at the SFU Harbour Centre once. I had to wait outside for my ride for about 30 minutes and I saw more shit in that 30 minutes than I have anywhere else in my life. It was a gong show. Nothing threatening but a lot of weird shit.

Parts of Vancouver can be unnerving. There are areas where you have to be on your toes.

Being a white dude is definitely part of it but I've been to cities in the US where the hotel bartender said, you fellas aren't going down there. Toronto is very safe considering the size.
