This is the one I chose for my generation ship. It’s food (mulberries are delicious), air cleaning, and textiles. The trees espalier beautifully, so instead of hard, sterile corridors, the ship has leafy tunnels of soundproofing and greenery everywhere. Because beauty matters & plastic sucks.

I am also really offended that he thinks “liberal” and “sports” have no intersection, and that the organic buildup of sports interest on this site was because of anything he did. We were building sports followings long before their project, just not sports HE thought were worthy.

That’s not what I was saying, it’s that many people do not realize how much they rely in the support service of others — school, daycare — to make it possible to love their children completely and not resent them at the same time.

And if there’s something that forbids state sponsored grocery stores, what are we doing with the military PX system, which is one GIANT global network of state sponsored, at cost, grocery stores? It’s not like these are new, or untested.
