PS: GFM keeps encouraging me to raise the goal but I will not. I already feel a way about going from the initial goal to almost double what it started off as.

It seems to be ok after another reboot (forced) but this is getting so irritating.

TL;DR this hurts my pride more than some folks can realize. No one wants to rattle the cup just to live or keep a roof over their head, but damned if we aren't in the darkest timeline that it's whats needed. There's no social safety net, just a gaping void & we're all one step from falling in.

People shouldn't have to resort to crowd funding to survive, or to bury a loved one, or get ife saving meds. It's what gets my goat, when people are smarmy when they see a GFM or ko-fi, or paypal link going around. Everyone is one mishap away from being in the boat with the folks they're scorning.

I wish people who think folks just sit around sucking off the gov't teat would wake up. The whole welfare queen mythos destroyed a lot of folks and assumptions are often made when the system has failed.

I do effin hate this I hope people know. It's not fun to have to have to ask for help. Despite what some people assume, folks don't live to beg online for help. We should not be in a state of the world where a GFM is the only option when there's no other help.
