In middle school, I went to a friend’s house. His mom repurposed the entire dining room into a beanie baby warehouse of large bins stacked on the table and around the room. Presumably, she was starting an eBay store. This would have been 1995-1996.

This place is magical. My son and I had a great time exploring the grounds and marveling at the dam. Nearby is the creepy (but cool) abandoned train tunnel. Really, a memorable day trip.

The real story is why are these public spaces cut off by a redundant street that we know isn’t needed?

I want Japan-level vending machines at all MBTA stations. This is a first step.

Super wide crosswalks are most welcomed, but it’s not looking promising for the promised Dartmouth St two-way separated bike lane. Stop bars now stretch all the way across the street, including where a buffer and the contraflow direction of the bike lane would be. Any word @streets.boston.gov?

When I worked in city hall I was leaving late one winter night when a bird flew right by me near ground level and slammed into the third floor entrance glass, immediately dying. It was a woodcock. Super sad, it was a gorgeous bird.
