I've been reading Real lately—the manga by the incredible Takehiko Inoue—and relate SO MUCH to one of the main protagonists in that every time he tries to get his life back in order (in his case aim to play pro basketball) something happens that makes him "drop the ball". Me too, Nomiya. Me too.

In a constant state of exhaustion…

I'm really getting sick of life constantly throwing things at me to knock me back down whenever I start feeling like I'm back on my feet again…

Context: I've recently started reading Real, a seinen manga by Inoue about the physical and mental struggles of three teenagers dealing with major changes and trauma in their lives, all while themed around basketball and wheelchair basketball. Incredibly gripping and relatable.

Inoue Takehiko really is one of the best story tellers and comic artists out there…
