Hi there! Thank you for sharing your experiences! It's heartening to know that I am not too far off base, and that my thinking is supported to some degree. I know the writers that work on Charlie didn't intend to write this in but its prompted me to learn more about BPD and its diagnostics.

And thinking about it further, maybe an anxiety disorder too... So the essay of panels that would be ordered would look for: 1. Autism 2. ADHD 3. Anxiety Disorders 4. BPD A lot of overlap there so it'd be significant work but worthwhile for understanding.

That and/or BPD... very heavily coded too, but open enough to interpretation as "exhibition there, diagnostics needed"... Clear to a point that it's unmanaged ergo likely undiagnosed.

It'd be funny if they write that fact in but don't include what lead to The Flood

Two compassionate figures in leadership roles, not belittling subordinates instead building them up, power plays would be "who can do the most good deeds in a day", passionate about how they feel about the moral good... But all that aside, they'd be able to romp around the Universe.

For many like Al, they can dehumanize people to be "means to an end" to achieve internal satisfaction (usually displaced pleasure/pain response), I feel Al is a budget version of Hannibal Lector's "Eat the Rude" mentality. It's easier for him to reduce others that don't align with his moral code.

and not the complete life story. It's important to see where they come from, but ultimately it's what they choose in the moment that defines how they deal with the absurdity. Even the non-human in #tadc needed to learn that connection is what can help instead of perpetuating a cycle.

She understands the Four Noble Truths, but she is coming to understand that Human Suffering isn't what she sees in Hell but what drove people to sin. Of course this isn't a Pure Buddhist view but an adaptation of the philosophy; many of the other elements shown are things that could be applied.

When I apply the Buddhist philosophy to what we understand as Charlie's philosophy, I see she pursuing the Eightfold Path as she grows. She has Right view, action, speech, and livelihood but she is still working on intention, effort, mindfulness, and concentration.

(P.S. it's funny that she ties Vaggi as the outward expression of that inner Goth/Emo Kid)

It's my opinion that this is what leads to her "Dark Night of the Soul" moment

It's almost like we should prepare for the whole "MC is a kid in a grown up world that never gave her what she wanted but when she has a chance to get it she burns every bridge and has to face the music to actually learn a lesson"
