Went out for a quick swim, Nyx guarding me bravely the whole time. Got out of the pool, went back inside & Nyx immediately passed out. Adorable little girl couldn't sleep until her job was done properly. Never had a full on working dog before & it's a trip. But amazing she is learning to talk to us.

Nyx used her words last night! We didn't make it out to the pool for a night swim. Nyx believes it is her job to protect me while swimming and she hadn't done it. I was writing at 1am, she came in, whimpering. I got up to follow wherever she would take me. She took me to the pool towels. I listened.
