Sofia does like reading books but, since reading is not very visually interesting to watch, we don't often get the chance to depict her doing it.

Yes, and also when we use a feature film character, we ask the feature animation division which design they want us to use. We cannot create official reasons why they appear the way they do. But princesses could show up in Sofia at any time during their character's overall story.

From a story perspective, it makes sense for Rapunzel to initially not wear shoes because she was never allowed outside the tower. Once she started walking around outside all the time, it makes sense that she would want to wear shoes. Who wouldn't?

He can. He chose not to. At some point, I remember considering having him say something extremely erudite out of nowhere in the finale but it didn’t wind up happening.

What’s really funny is that the consumer products group wants us to keep designs simple enough for the toys to look exactly like what’s on-screen but then they go and make things like this 🤷‍♂️
