Grateful to my colleagues. My whole school at NYU was/is contract faculty. While full-time, I did not make a wage covering costs to live where I worked. We lacked other support, e.g., for reduced course loads, sabbaticals, security, & stature….Also grateful to my colleagues who unionized adjuncts.
