As a reviewer, while I want to write critical, balanced reviews, if I see a cliche in the very first sentence of a book, or a typo on the first page, it is hard for me not to feel revulsion at the implied laziness of the endeavour so then, alas, I have to turn the review down. #canlit

I've published eight of my titles, four poetry and four prose (the newest is Sixteen Homes: a memoir, due out in Fall) with Wolsak & Wynn since 2001 and I have yet to find a better press in terms of respectful communication with their authors, mainly due to the inimitable publisher Noelle Allen.

The only thing I miss about Fakebook is that I would get actual work from posting that I am a human who edits manuscripts. On Bluesky I mostly get to rant against the artificial thief, that shit system that has stolen my materials and pretended my skill set but that will never take my personhood.
