We had those tools. They were Annuals. Industry periodicals. Agents. It was convenience that people fell in love with. It used to be a skill to find people. Now all anyone needed was phone.

Not sure it became essential as much as people lost the desire to discover anyone using anything else. “Convenience” killed entire industry periodicals, annuals, agencies—all things we used to use to “discover” artists. It’s not the site that became essential, but the searchers who changed.

This year I am directly across from the bar, next to Jersey Scoops and Oceanside Jams. It’s a good spot. Sometimes there’s impromptu music on the corner next to us! Last night it was a sax and a bongo! Other nights sometimes a family does bluegrass. Fun fun fun!! Woohoo!

I’m enjoying it! I don’t make a financial windfall at all, but I get to meet So Many awesome folks. That’s the very best. I wouldn’t trade that part for the world. I think that’s why I continue to do it: the people. *My* people. They’re magic. Can’t rave about it enough.

I also get that same stare from Meta users… “But how do you exist without posting to Insta?” <sigh> I exist nicely, thank you. Perhaps *not* using it could be enlightening. Maybe. But I guess it’s a slow tide, right? Baby steps. HumCo is it’s own thing, right? ❤️🌲

Thank you, Katie!! I’m so glad you’re positive—that means a LOT! My Prograf is my only printer, so I don’t think it’ll rest for long. Haha! And YES YES YES that 16x20 option is exactly where I’m at! I got paper already!! I cannot wait to see what they look like! That scale is HUGE!! <Squeeee!>
