Had wonderful meetups with two different local artists I respect, and they're both souring on Meta in different ways. One isn't doing Facebook ads anymore, the other wants to drop social media entirely. So we discussed ways to connect in-person with buyers. The tide is shifting. #indieARtist

I'm going to have to sell part of my soul to make a living as an artist, aren't I? I've tried to make a go of it on ethical platforms (or at least as ethical as I could afford) but over the last year I've begun suspecting lack of adoption will always be a thing. The kool-aid is stew now, I think.
