i don't know that i see a meaningful difference between "genderless" and "gender-neutral"? like it's genderless bc no gender is specified, but also for that same reason it is neutral between any gender assignment

pedantic, but: they have genuinely gender-neutral *uses*; these uses do not convey upon them a context-free essence of gender-neutrality
