If anyone in Germany is able to go to what looks to be a great lecture, do report back for us.

The Construction Historian enjoyed a fun day out in Aberdeen. This very mixed-media wall is at the site of the former Aedie's House (details in ALT) and goes to show that Aberdeen isnt/wasnt all granite. The other mixed-media image was lunch.

A genuine request to all our followers: 1. Do you think that there is any point in keeping collections of manufactured building materials such as bricks, pipes, tiles etc? 2. From the point of view of future historic research, would photos suffice or should the physical items be kept too? 3. Why?

It might have been mentioned before, but the Construction Historian cannot resist picking up a brick.... Whilst on a day out with the Panel on Historic Engineering Works, in Ayrshire, we passed this derelict mill at Laigh Milton near Kilmarnock. This brick was rescued from there. More info in ALT
