Cleveland Guardians stats (and sometimes Cavs too). Formerly known as TribeFanMcC at the other place Albert Belle belongs in the HOF

Remember when Morgan Ensberg played in Cleveland? Me either. This is why I hate photoshopped baseball cards. Most of the time the players do eventually wear the photoshopped jersey... but not always! Ensberg never put on a Cleveland jersey. Only Buffalo.

How many examples are there of a pro sports expansion team returning to a city that used to have a team in the league, but taking a different name? Why isn't the WNBA team just gonna be the Rockers?

Trying to come up with the best Cleveland comparison to describe Foster Griffin I think it's probably "lefty Josh Tomlin" Griffin is giving up 1.3 HR/9 and has a WHIP of 1.08 CLE only has 19 seasons of a while under 1.20 but HR/9 over 1.0 and Josh Tomlin had 3 of them

Spectacular upgrade from Kyle Manzardo to Nathaniel Lowe. Lowe might come back to earth a bit (this is a career high OPS vs RHP for him) but his OPS vs RHP has been above .750 every year since his rookie year in 2019. His career worst performance would still be a massive upgrade

Love this addition. Lowe has been fantastic this year. Where does Manzardo fit in though? Getting demoted??

I don’t know anything about the prospects they gave up but I really like that they added another arm to the rotation. They needed a 6th SP to feel good about staying healthy and fresh thru the rest of the year. Griffin is just a soft-tossing lefty, but he’s been solid.

The Guardians team leaders in SLG vs LHP before adding Jo Adell (.574) Jose Ramirez - .534 Chase DeLauter - .500 Daniel Schneemann - .393 Angel Martinez - .384 Austin Hedges - .377

Jo Adell hasn't been as good overall this year, but he's still crushing lefties

just blocked someone who's been in my mentions too many times complaining about the payroll. If you're going to let that effect every moment your fandom, just go find another way to spend your time. The Guardians just made a move to get better. If you cant find some joy in that, go away.

Most K over 5-game span, last 5 years 2022 Shohei Ohtani, 57 2026 Gavin Williams, 55⭐ 2024 Blake Snell, 55 2023 Spencer Strider, 53 2023 Blake Snell, 53 2022 Spencer Strider, 53

I had zero issue with Arizona bunting in the 6th today. Williams was 12 outs away still and the Guardians bullpen is a mess right now. Arizona was still playing to win. Down 5 in the 8th or 9th? Bush league. But no outs in the 6th against a team with a gassed bullpen? Absolutely legit.

Bo Naylor closes out his Cleveland career with a .199 BA, the second worst by a catcher in team history (unless Hedges can make him the worst)

Guards are 5-10 since the All-Star break

When I saw the Guardians acquired a no-name reliever I just knew he had to have some crazy extension numbers 🎯

Worst BA with RISP, team history 2026 - .226🤢 1989 - .227 1972 - .228 1946 - .232 1963 - .234 The last time they were under .240 was 2012, the final year of the Manny Acta era

141

The Guardians have been brutal with RISP lately, so I started looking into the worst months with RISP in team history. Turns out you don't have to go back very far to find worse months. They hit .231 with RISP in July... but .217 in May... .215 in June Not sure why this month felt worse

Petey Halpin and Angel Martinez have been the Guardians worst offenders at chasing breaking balls out of the zone. Chase DeLauter has been the best at laying off.
