The decision was only for Louisiana and Alabama had already refused to redistrict. Many states have already had their primaries. Any attempt to change in time for midterms will a mess at the very least.

Dems still have a huge advantage going into midterms regardless of the Supreme Court ruling. It makes no sense to cut one's nose to spite their face and throw primaries into disarray when we can aim for 2028.
