It is not uncommon for schools to schedule things around Jewish observances when there's a sizable population. 22% Jewish (the current rate) is a very sizable population. I went to a school that was about 12% and I would have estimated much higher. That's the point ppl are making.

We're still overrepresented in the media (partly because of the exact vaudeville pipeline you may or may not realize you're referencing here). That doesn't have anything to do with reality. We were also between 2-3% of the US population in the 1960s. You're actually proving the point.

So important for people to understand that every job they say is proof that we run everything is because it's the only thing we were allowed to do. The "see they turn everything" was added in post to mystify the discrimination.

It is very much exactly what it sounds like. Nothing fancy. I make the latkes and then I use them as the "bread" for cheddar grilled cheese. This works best with the box mix latkes, honestly, Streits or Manischewitz but still good with more homemade. I like to top with sour cream because why not?
