Man, we'll do just about anything to avoid short-term discomfort! Slashing fossil fuel emissions surely brings some tough choices, but the payoff could be survival. Instead, we'd rather skip the grind and throw our fate with unproven potentially catastrophic geoengineering. Makes perfect sense.
